About GOG

Goldens on the Grass is a much-loved annual celebration proudly organised by the Golden Retriever Club of Queensland.

Since launching in 2022, the event has grown bigger and better every year — bringing together hundreds of Golden Retrievers and their families for one unforgettable day dedicated entirely to our favourite breed.

What started as a simple idea to gather like-minded Golden lovers has evolved into one of Queensland’s most joyful and heartwarming dog events. Goldens on the Grass is all about community, connection and celebrating the incredible temperament, beauty and spirit of the Golden Retriever.

Our event is designed for the whole family — especially your four-legged one. From fun-filled activities and interactive experiences to exciting things for you and your Goldie to try together, there’s something for every age, stage and energy level. Whether you’re joining in the fun, meeting fellow Golden owners, or simply soaking up the sea of golden coats and wagging tails, the day is pure golden magic.

Beyond the fun, Goldens on the Grass is deeply committed to giving back. Each year, we proudly donate proceeds to incredible organisations including the RSPCA, Golden Retriever Rescue QLD, and Story Dogs — supporting animal welfare, rescue efforts and literacy programs that change lives.

At its heart, Goldens on the Grass is more than an event. It’s a celebration of the breed we love, the community we’ve built, and the difference we can make together.

We can’t wait to welcome you and your Goldie to the next one. 💛🐾
